Bill C-420 has passed the second reading and has been referred to committee. We will need to keep the pressure on our parliamentarians to ensure the committe includes the recommendations set forth by the original standing committee on health. Private Members Bill C-420 will provide an opportunity to change the law, defining nutritional supplements as food, and drugs as drugs.

While we were on the Hill seeking help and answers, Dr. Lunney, MP tabled petitions from 27,000 Canadians calling for Natural Health Products to be moved under a food directorate rather than an adversarial drug-style directorate.
